Would love to see a tutorial on how to adjust and maintain hydraulic disc brakes. However I guess it would be a hard topic to cover because of the many systems out there.

Could you also make some videos about disc brakes? That would be interesting.

I’m wondering if you have plans to upload a video on how to maintain hydraulic brakes? I understand how to do mechanical disk brakes but hydraulics seem to be a little more involved. They are smooth in comparison to mechanical; I’ll tell you that much!

I would like to see a disc brake adjustment/maintenance tutorial in the future.

You should do a video about how to cut and install hydraulic brake cables to the brake leavers, and mabe how to bleed avid brakes.

A tutorial on servicing hydraulic disc brakes including replacing pads, adjustment and bleeding the lines would be fantastic.

I have Shimano Deore hydraulics that use mineral oil. There is some info out there but it seems to differ in the method you should use for opening and closing the bleed nipple combined with squeezing the brake lever. Videos always seem to be made on bikes that clearly don’t even need bleeding! You never get a clear idea of how much fluid should be coming out to clear the air in a bad line and what size the air bubbles actually are that come out. I have attempted to bleed my brakes and they are better but the levers still come to close to the bar. I have been told this may be due to air still being in the line or the brake pad position needing adjusting as the pads are worn. How do you tell the difference?

Is a pair of pads that have mineral oil on them ruined or will soaking/wiping them with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol, available from chemists) remove it and make them usable again?

I would like to see an video of how to cut and install hydraulic cables. Do you just use (cable cutters bike tool) and bleeding just taking care of everything? Juicys would be nice thanks.

Hi Alex, I’d love to see a couple of tutorials regarding disc brake systems (in order of preference)
    – removing & replacing disc brake pads
    – adjusting disc brake systems
    – bleeding hydraulic disc brake systems

I understand there are many different typres & varieties of disc brake systems, which is no doubt why there is no videos to date – but there must be some common fundamentals to all which would be helpful to us mere morals who just need to be pointed in the right direction :-)
