Many producers produce mechanical disc brakes so that they DO RUB on the rotor.

The rubbing will not be enough to slow you down but just enough to produce a rubbing sound. This is not a problem. The rubbing will subside as the pads wear out and come into form. It will take about a month. Also refer to -

Do you intend to put a video up that details how to maintain/tweak disc brakes?

I have cable brakes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OP97cbAecOA (too basic)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW7UdDa4GP8 (but this one wasn't too bad)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkp2WFjuqYg (quite detailed but the poor sound/steadiness lets this video down)

A video on adjusting and cleaning disc brakes would be very helpful when you get the chance.

I have a Moutain Bike with Tektro Lo disc brakes. I have watched your tutorials on other kind of brakes, also checked the manual that comes with the brakes, but still have rubbing on the rear brake. I have a gap on hub side of rotor, but rubbing on other side. Have tweaked "stationary caliper adjusting bolt" and also tweaked "cable adjuster bolt" on the caliper. Ye despite much playing around i still have a gap on hub side of rotor and rubbing on the opposite side of the rotor. If you can do a tutorial on this would be appreciated.

Any plans to cover disc brake adjustment and pad replacement? I have a cable disc brake, specifically, the BB5 from Avid.

It would be great of you could make a video on adjusting disk brake pads so they do not rub on the rotor like mine do. Thanks!
