I have tried simple adjustments to the angle of her handlebars, but I think I would like to increase the height of them. I am not sure with her stem if this is simple a matter of loosening it or if I have to buy spacers or what not. I have old school bikes with old school headsets and I have never worked with one like this before. Can you give me some advice?
I have a Trek 7500. There doesn’t seem to be an adjustment for changing the handlebar height. If there is, how do you do it?
I would like to see a video on adjusting the handlebar height on a mountain bike. My wife’s Rockhopper’s handlebars are a bit low.
Could you do a tutorial on proper seat and handlebar adjustment/sizing a bike?
Stem length, angle.
First comment – amazingly informative website! Jolly good work old bean!
I would like some help on correct handlebar height and/or stem angle and length. Threadless headset.
Thanks!
Fantastic site with plenty of informative tutorials.
Me too would like to see a tutorial on what should be the height of my handle bar vis-a-vis my saddle. I ride a Scott Aspect bike.
Cheers!
A brilliant website and superb video guides.
I’ve seen on a number of forums people asking how to raise the height of handlebars on theadless headset (aheadset).
Many people advise to buy either an extender, riser bar or a longer stem but they never explain how to install one.
If you could show it, that would be excellent!
I think this kind of tutorial would be useful for helping to fit a bike to yourself without having to pay to do so, even if it is just general guidelines.
I have a Trek 7100 and would like to raise the handlebars. I would like some instruction on this.
