I'd also like to see a tutorial on replacing a rear derailleur. My bike was damaged in a fire. The burning building fell on my bike which was chained up on a bike stand outdoors. Only the rear of the bike was burned. It has been easy to get a new wheel, tire, and brake but installing a new rear derailleur looks challenging. I have done everything else up to this point myself, so I really don't want to take it to a bike store to finish the job if I can help it!

If it is possible a tutorial on how to install a new front and rear derailleurs would be brilliant. Thanks.

I was hoping to see a tutorial like this some time in the future. I just bought a replacement derailler since mine was messed up I think from the get go (As in when I bought it. I also fell on it too, so that doesn't really help it lol). I followed the rear derailler adjustment video and made lots of notes so I feel like with my notes I can do that just fine, but what scares me is taking the chain off and replacing the derailler, I don't want to mess up my brand new one.

I am just going to have it done at my local bike shop. I just hope they don't charge too much because I can't really afford to spend a ton of extra cash on things besides the necessities.

Any thoughts on replacing a rear derailleur? I'd like to carry out a minor upgrade (Acera to Deore) and I'm wondering if there are any pitfalls (e.g. special tools required) that I should be aware of. I'm assuming that the box will contain some sort of fitting instructions...
