What is this whole thing? A cassette? A freehub? I tried watching the turorial videos on removal but the thing in the red circle is still in there and doesn't seem to be on any tutorial videos I watched. How do I remove the thing in the red circle?

Great suggestion. Don’t forget that there are several variants of singlespeed wheels, including track or horizontal drop outs, vertical drop outs with chain tensioners, nutted axles, quick release axles, etc. Good luck!
Hi Alex, I saw your “How To Remove and Install Your Wheels” video. Although most bikes have gears, how about bikes that are single speed? It’d be a good addition would be a video on how to remove the rear wheel of a single speed bike.
