How to install a tubular tire?
+1 on this request. Base tape prep, carbon rims, installation from new, removal, cleaning, etc.
1. Would love a video on mounting tubular tires.
2. SAAVEDRA Rims normally come with special nipple washers. I built up some clinchers with their nipple washers and they are great.(24 hole front and 28 hole rear) Now I have built up some tubulars(24 hole front and rear) using standard steel nipple washers on these very thin walled rims. I have not ridden on them yet. I used double nipple washers on the drive side of the rear wheel. These rims are only 280 grams and if I had the SAAVEDRA nipple washers they would spread the load over a greater area. Have you any comments on bullet proofing these ultra light classic rims?
Tubular tire and wheel clean up of old glue as well as the pros and cons of using tubular tires on ultra lite rims. Safety issues etc.
